Susan Lunneborg has been promoted to managing editor of the West Central Tribune in Willmar, Minnesota, effective immediately.

"Susan has been an integral part of the Tribune newsroom for 25 years," said Kelly Boldan, Tribune editor and site manager. "She knows west central Minnesota and has great news judgment. She will continue to provide her strong leadership in the Tribune's news coverage."

She will coordinate the news staff and Tribune coverage throughout west central Minnesota.

"I feel privileged to work with our team of journalists who live in the region we cover, bringing relevant stories and news to our readers," Lunneborg said. "As a team, we will continue to make it our goal to enrich our area communities with a range of content that keeps people informed, entertained and sometimes inspired.”

Lunneborg joined the West Central Tribune in October 1999 as night editor and later advanced to the Tribune's news editor.

She previously worked as a staff writer and copy editor for nearly four years at the Mitchell (South Dakota) Daily Republic, another Forum Communications newspaper. She also worked as a staff writer for more than two years at the Daily News in Wahpeton, North Dakota.

A native of Milnor, North Dakota, Lunneborg is a political science graduate of the University of Minnesota-Morris. She and her husband, Chuck Blomberg, live in Granite Falls.
