Pat Dorsey joins America's Newspapers board of directors

Pat Dorsey has been appointed to the Board of Directors of America's Newspapers to fill the unexpired term of Bill Barker, who stepped down from the board after leaving Gannett.

Dorsey is publisher of the Austin (Texas) American-Statesman and vice president of Regional Publishing Operations, Gannett.

"I am very proud to serve on the board of America's Newspapers and contribute to the outstanding work being done to advocate for newspaper media operations around the country," Dorsey said. "I saw this work firsthand after serving for many years on the SNPA board and participating with the team that planned the merger with Inland to form America's Newspapers.  It is great to be back among friends as we support our partner newspapers in transforming the business to better serve our communities long into the future."

In other news, America's Newspapers welcomes two new newspaper members.  Both newspapers are published by TMC Publications:
